Spring theme picture books give me all the feels & are also a great escape for my terrible Spring allergies! Throughout the season, I share my favorite read alouds AND sharpen our story comprehension skills using different activities from my Craft & Retell and Interactive Read Aloud resources.

The interactive read aloud kits help support our need to dig deep into the story and focus on 5 different learning objectives. We practice skills via group + partner discussion, simple anchor charts and kiddos will share understanding via matching crafts or printables! Here are a few examples of what that looks like in the primary learning setting.
Craft & Retell is an easy to implement + low-prep resource for developing fluency in storybook retelling. Read more about that core kinder skill on this blog post! These activities will engage kiddos in multiple exposure retell practice using a group chart and independent practice via their own story craft! It’s cute, purposeful and GREAT for oral retelling support. Check out the Spring Collection in my TpT.
The above activities are to support and pair with popular and top reviewed picture books!
